List of Airports in Maryland

Located on the eastern seaboard of the United States, Maryland offers tourists everything from sandy beaches to snowy mountains. Maryland is divided by the Chesapeake Bay, the largest estuary in the nation. The Bay and Atlantic Ocean give Maryland almost 4,000 miles of shoreline. The western part of Maryland is where you will find the mountains ideal for skiing and outdoor activities. There are two government-run airports in Maryland and many regional, county and municipal airports.
  1. Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport

    • Maryland.gov names BWI Thurgood Marshall one of the fastest-growing airports in the U.S. It is located just south of Baltimore city, and offers 24-hour U.S. Customs operation and both domestic and international flights. It offers shopping and dining, as well as the Thurgood Marshall Tribute, highlighting the civil rights activist's life. The airlines that fly through BWI include Air Canada, airTran, American Airlines, British Airways, Cape Air, Continental Airlines, Delta, Jet Blue, Southwest, United and U.S. Airways.

    Martin State Airport

    • The second government-run airport is Martin State. It is mainly used for private and corporate aircraft, and is also the main base for the two Air National Guard squadrons in Maryland. It is located in southeastern Baltimore County and offers flight schools and aircraft repair. It is also home to the Helicopter Unit of the Baltimore City Police and the Aviation Division of the Department of State Police.

    Hagerstown Regional Airport

    • Located in Washington County, Hagerstown Regional Airport is one of the largest regional airports in Maryland. It offers free parking and Wi-Fi as well as accommodations for people with disabilities. Cape Air, Jet Blue and Continental Airlines fly through Hagerstown.

    Salisbury-Ocean City Wicomico Regional Airport

    • In Wicomico County, the Salisbury-Ocean City Wicomico Regional Airport is the only airport that services the Delmarva Peninsula in Maryland, Virginia and Delaware. It is the second largest airport in the state and is the maintenance center for U.S. Airways Express commuter aircraft. The airport currently flies U.S. Airways only.
