Go online to a car rental company website (see Resources).
Click on the "Find Location" button.
Designate "Germany" as the country from a drop-down menu. Click on the German city where you would like to rent the car. A list of locations will be displayed. Click on the "Make Reservation" button to start the booking.
Indicate the pickup time and date in the provided fields. Enter the return time and date in the provided fields. Designate where you will be picking the car up, and where you will be returning the car, if it is a different location. Click "Continue."
Click on the make of car that you wish to rent from the options provided. Check any available options you would like such as child seats or GPS navigation. Check any coverages that you would like to have for the car.
Enter your name, contact information and email address. If possible let the rental company know the flight details for your arrival in Germany. Click the "Reserve" button to make your reservation. Print out the receipt for your reservation.
Go to the rental company office or airport desk. Give the agent your reservation receipt and driver's license. You will be required to provide a credit card for payment.
