The old Port Mann Bridge was fully demolished by October 2017. The demolition process began in early 2013, and was originally expected to be completed by mid-2015, however it encountered several setbacks due to weather conditions and technical difficulties.
Last Two Lanes
The last two lanes of the new Port Mann Bridge were opened to traffic on December 1, 2013, making the bridge fully complete. The bridge originally opened with eight lanes in November 2012, and the final two lanes were added to accommodate increasing traffic volume.
