The 1985 Southwind by Fleetwood had a 6.2-L Chevrolet diesel engine. It featured an automatic transmission. The Fleetwood's eight cylinders could be accessed through three separate doors. The motor home was powered by either propane, batteries, an included generator or a supplemental generator.
This recreational vehicle had a long list of amenities to include multiple storage areas, refrigerator, freezer, stove top with four burners, oven, microwave, double sink and cupboards. The bathroom held a combination shower and tub, a toilet, sink and vanity mirror. Air conditioning, awning and a stereo system came standard with this model. Two swivel chairs were located opposite the couch.
The 1985 Fleetwood Southwind had sleeping room for six to eight individuals. A queen bed was found in the rear of the motor home. The dining table converted to a bed, as did the couch. A bed was located above the driver's area.
