Park the trailer in a shaded area. Clean the trailer with a car cleaner and a rag to remove any dirt. Spray it off with water and let it sit until dry.
Cover any components such as plastic, wood, windows and doors, or any part that will not be polished, with painter's tape.
Apply paint stripper onto the trailer. When bubbles appear, spray off with water to remove the original clear-coat finish. Use cotton towels to dry off.
Apply a small amount of polishing cream to a pad using an orbital polishing machine with a 100-percent cotton buffing pad or rag. Turn the machine on and apply light to medium pressure in a circular motion to an area approximately 24 inches by 24 inches. Continue buffing the area until the aluminum does not appear to have any black haze.
Wipe the area with a mineral cleaner to enhance shine. Repeat these steps until the entire body of the Airstream is completed.
