You'll be cooking in your camper, so make a list of ingredients to take with you, as well as cooking tools you'll need. Don't forget the basics, such as oil, butter, eggs, salt and pepper. Take plastic utensils and paper plates if you don't think dish-washing is something you'll want to do on your vacation. Pack a few rolls of paper towels to wipe counters and to double as napkins. Pack lightweight pots and pans, plastic drinking cups and at least one sharp knife for chopping and cutting during food preparation.
Depending on what time of year it is and where you travel, consider packing a fan or heater. It can get hot and sticky inside a camper during the summer time, so invest in a fan to keep you comfortable. Battery-operated fans are suitable for campers because you won't need to rely on an electrical outlet to stay cool. During the winter, pack a portable heater that runs on propane or batteries. You can also store hot water bags in the camper for cold weather trips.
You never know what medical emergencies might arise, so pack a first aid kit in your camper. Include bandages, gauze, ointment and pain-relievers. You might want to also pack a cold compress, tweezers, gloves, scissors and dressings. Also include a first aid booklet to use as a reference. Store the first aid kit in an area of the camper where everyone can have access to it.
Remember to take bedding supplies onboard your camper. Pack pillows and sheets as well as comforters or even travel electric blankets to keep you warm during the winter months. Pack head rests to use while relaxing on your vacation. Sleeping bags are suitable for campers; they can be stored in tight spaces during the day.
