Things to Pack for Disney World

When you have the opportunity to chant, " I'm going to Disney World," take a few moments to rein in your excitement and prepare for the trip. Whether you are going with family, with a group, as a couple or by yourself, knowing what to bring and what to leave behind will make the trip more enjoyable and memorable.
  1. Preparations

    • Make a list and check it not once or twice, but over and over again. Items, things to do, reminders and ideas will come to you over time. Add these things as you think of them. Cross other items off, if you decide you don't need them.

    Clothes

    • The weather at Disney World changes with the seasons. During the summer expect hot and humid weather. Nights in the winter can reach the 40-degree mark and sometimes lower. Online weather sites will tell you what the weather will be like during your stay.

    Raingear & Footwear

    • Frequent and sudden rainstorms materialize in the summer. While umbrellas can be bulky, take a rain jacket or poncho. Comfortable shoes are a must.

    Sun Protection & Gear

    • Sunglasses, sunblock, lip balm, a small first-aid kit, bathing suits, beach towels, aspirins, antacids, medications, baby supplies, personal care items, hand wipes, binoculars, a reusable water bottle, a pocket flashlight and a tote bag will all come in handy.

    Identification

    • Take along your medical insurance cards, IDs, driver's license, proof of insurance, address book and your PDA.

    Electronics

    • Do not forget a camera, a cell phone, chargers, batteries, film and/or a pager.
