Instructions

    • 1

Dump the camper's trash as often as possible.

    • 2

Clean out the refrigerator periodically using warm water and dish soap or warm water and vinegar. Remove any spoiled food items. Place an open box of baking soda in the refrigerator to absorb extra odors.

    • 3

Spot clean spills on upholstery using warm water and a few squirts of dish soap. Avoid wetting the area excessively, which can cause musty, moldy odors. Allow damp areas to dry thoroughly. Use a blow dryer if you want to speed the process.

    • 4

Place pieces of charcoal under furniture, in cabinets and anywhere else that has an odor. The charcoal will neutralize odors.

    • 5

Place several open containers of vinegar around the camper overnight to neutralize odors as well.

    • 6

Use specially formulated chemicals for cleaning the holding tanks in the camper. You can purchase these chemicals at most RV supply and dealership business or online. These chemicals help to break down waste. Rinse out tanks periodically and empty them as necessary.

    • 7

Open the doors and windows of the camper periodically to allow fresh air to circulate.

    • 8

Use air freshening products such as sprays, candles, warmers and plug-ins for additional pleasant aromas.
