How to Cover Camper Seats

Chairs in an RV or camper are designed to withstand the rigors of camping and have fabric that sheds dirt and grime. If it is time to cover up the old fabric and add new covers to the camper chairs, aftermarket camper chair covers fill this niche. These covers are available in a variety of colors and materials. Covers made of faux or real sheep hides keep you warm in winter months, while other covers with mesh material cool you off during the hot season. Placing any cover on the chair follows a basic formula.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the old fabric cover from the chairs. Unzip the covers, found on the arms or on the back of the chairs, and pull off the old fabric.

    • 2

Unzip the fixtures on the new cover, and throw the cover over the camper chair. Thread the arms into the sleeves, and pull the skirts down over the chair attachment points or legs.

    • 3

Adjust the cushioning so it is evenly distributed. Take care with the arm cushioning, keeping it along the length of the arm and not falling off to the side.

    • 4

Zip up the covers to secure them to the chairs.
