Instructions

    • 1

Replace the old light fixtures in your camper. Unscrew and unravel the color coded wires to remove a light fixture. Install new lights according to the manufacturer's instructions. Use updated fixtures such as track lighting or globe lights.

    • 2

Remove the old and dingy curtains from the camper and hang up new modern window treatments. Select window treatments that complement the new modern light fixtures and colors of your camper.

    • 3

Get rid of the outdated old flooring. Install outdoor/indoor carpet inside your camper according the manufacturer's instructions. Carpet warms up the camper space and provides a cushion for your feet during a camping trip.

    • 4

Remove the cabinet doors and hardware. Give them each a new coat of paint. Purchase an interior paint that's ideal for the material that makes up your cabinetry. Make sure the paint can withstand cleaning and heat if you cook in your camper or don't have air conditioning. Choose a color that matches your decor. Avoid dark colors that can make the pop-up camper look even smaller.

    • 5

Install new hardware on your cabinets with a screwdriver and screws. This is an expensive and quick way to update your camper.

    • 6

Paint the walls of your pop-up camper with paintbrushes and a roller. Pick a neutral interior paint color. Choose colors like tan or white.

    • 7

Purchase or sew a couple of throw pillows for your camper. Pick colors and patterns that reflect your personal style. Don't be afraid to add color with accent pillows.

    • 8

Paint the exterior of your pop-up camper. You can do this project yourself with automotive paint and a spray gun. Replace screens, broken windows and mechanical parts on your camper at this time.
