RV travelers looking for a camping site with a view of Lake Texoma can find it at Gone Fishing RV Resort at the southern end of the lake. It also is a great place to stay if you have a boat in tow. Not only are there pull-through spaces, but the resort has boat ramp access. The resort grocery store also packs plenty of ice to preserve your catch.
The park is on the small side and is in a rural setting. Long-term stays are welcome. Of the park’s 35 spaces, 15 are in the general rental pool, all of which are graveled with full hook-ups including 30 or 50 amp electrical outlets. Six pull-throughs are 70 feet long, while the back-in spaces are 40 feet long. All spaces are 32 feet wide and large enough for slide-outs. Spaces have wireless Internet access.
In addition to the boat ramp, the resort offers showers, restrooms, a laundry, exchange book library, dump station and a self-serve RV washing station. Propane is available for sale on site, and the office offers copy and faxing services. Gone Fishing RV Resort welcomes pets and is open year round.

Located on the northern end of Lake Texoma, the Newberry Creek Resort & Marina is a combination marina, cabin rental outlet and RV campground. Rent kayaks, boats or fishing gear, hire a fishing guide or launch your own boat at the resort’s ramp.
The RV park overlooks the lake. Of the 11 spaces 3 are pull-throughs, each 45 foot long. The back-ins are 40 feet long. Most Class A motor homes will fit in either space as long as towed vehicles are disconnected. Campsites that have water and electric hook-ups only (all with 30 amp service) have views of the lake. The three sites with sewer service are farther up the hill. All are in a natural, grassy setting, have room for slide-outs and welcome pets.
This can almost be considered “bookdocking” or dry camping with benefits. Though you have hook-ups, RV park amenities are limited to non-flush toilets, a dump station and a public phone. The resort itself, adjacent to the RV park section, has a marine store with snacks, bottled water, soda and beer. Campers register at the store. Kayak rentals, fishing supplies and arrangements for fishing trip guides can be obtained here.
