The Mendocino Coast, 168 miles north of San Francisco, is a magnet for ocean beach lovers. Caspar Beach is a particular draw with its wide sandy shoreline. The gentle slope makes it easy to launch boats or kayaks. Caspar Beach is also a popular SCUBA dive spot and abalone fishing ground.
Caspar Beach RV Park & Campground is beachfront, but in a protected cove that keeps most of the coastal winds away from your campsite. The park offers 52 spaces on a combination of grass, gravel and paved surfaces, all wide enough for slide-outs, and 19 of those sites are pull-thrus that are 50 feet long. The remaining sites are back-ins 40 feet in length. All sites have water and either 20 or 30 amp electric hook-ups. Sewer hook-ups are available on 40 campsites. All spaces have access to wireless Internet, a fire ring and picnic table.
Park amenities include restrooms, showers, a dump station and a grocery store offering propane, firewood and video rentals. The property also offers an exchange library, children’s playground, boat rentals, recreation hall and an onsite self service RV wash station. Caspar Beach welcomes pets.

Located in central northern California, 162 miles from San Francisco, Clear Lake offers an array of water sports including fishing, boating, water skiing, kayaking, jet skiing and sailing. Clear Lake is known for its excellent bass fishing. Other activities in the area include casinos, wineries, golf courses, hiking and biking trails.
The Edgewater Resort & RV Park is lakeside and has its own boat dock and launching ramp. Boat rentals are available. Fish from the shoreline or from out on the water and then clean them at the park's fish cleaning station. Swim in the lake or in the heated swimming pool. Horseshoe pits and a recreation hall are also onsite. Campers have use of restrooms, showers, laundry room and grocery store that also offers RV supplies and firewood.
The resort offers 58 sites, all on grass, all with full hook-ups and all wide enough for slide-outs. Electrical outlets are 30- or 50-amp service. Most sites are shaded and all have wireless Internet access, picnic tables and barbecues. Edgewater Resort welcomes pets.

Redding, California, is 217 miles north of San Francisco and about three miles south of Lake Shasta. The lake itself is known for trout and bass fishing as well as water skiing, boating, and an assortment of water sports. Nearby attractions include Shasta Dam and the Shasta Caverns.
Mountain Gate RV Park has received top honors from Good Sam, which listed it as one of the top 100 parks in the United States and from Woodall’s, giving the park five stars in its RV travel guide. There are 72 spaces in the rental pool, all with full hook-ups and with either 30- or 50-amp electrical outlets. There are 43 pull-throughs that are 60 feet long. Back-ins are 50 feet in length. All are paved and wide enough for slide-outs. All sites have tables and wireless Internet access. Mountain Gate welcomes pets and provides a fenced pet park area. There are breed restrictions.
The landscaped park offers a grocery store that also sells firewood, propane and various RV supplies. Showers, restrooms, an exchange library, heated pool, horseshoe pits, recreation room, children’s playground and laundry are all available. The park also has an onsite dump station.
