Government Island State Park is located on the Columbia River and is accessible by boat only. While the interior of the island is used as a cattle ranch and contains protected areas, tent camping is still allowed around the perimeter and in areas where picnic tables and shelters are located. Restrooms are also located throughout the area. Guests can enjoy fishing, swimming, boating, bird watching and hiking on the various trails.

This campground offers guests their choice of tent sites or RV hookups on a two-acre camping field with fire rings, picnic tables, clean restrooms, hot showers and laundry facilities.
