How to Find the Blue Book Value of a Camper

If you want to sell or buy a used camper or RV, it is best to have a good idea of how much the model is worth. There are a few ways to find this information, but remember that different sources will have different price ranges, and it is important to consider the condition of the camper or RV and the market in the area where you live.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the local automotive store, bookstore or public library and ask for the Kelley Blue Book Guide to RVs. Look up the make, model, and year of your camper or RV, as well as the condition, and the Guide should give you a range of prices appropriate to selling and buying that particular camper or RV. Note: The Kelley Blue Book website does not have a feature for RVs or campers.

Alternatively, visit the NADA Guides website at http://www.nadaguides.com, click the Recreational Vehicles tab found in the middle of the top of the page, and select information based on the specific camper or RV you want to buy or sell.

Or, search the local classified ads in the newspaper, Thrifty Nickel or similar or on Craigslist, and see how much similar models are being sold for. This is the least accurate method, but will tell you what the market is like in your specific area.
