A36 Bonanza Engine Specs

The Beechcraft A36 Bonanza is a private airplane produced by the Hawker Beechcraft Corporation. The A36 has the distinction of being the longest-selling line of single-engine aircraft with retractable landing gear. It has been in continuous production from 1947 to the present.

It has the same fuel capacity as the basic A63 (74 gallons), but has a range of 800 nautical miles. The engine proves a rate of climb of 1,165 feet per minute with a maximum altitude of 25,000 feet. The aircraft requires 1,176 feet of runway to lift off of the ground, and 2,012 feet to clear a 50 obstacle at take off. This version of the A36 is more fuel efficient than the basic A36 at 10.8 nautical miles per gallon and a consumption rate of 15.57 gallons per hour.

    • The configuration of the A36 provides 300 hp and a top speed of 184 kph and a cruising speed of 169 kph. The aircraft can travel its 720 nm range in four hours and 15 minutes at cruising speed, with a fuel consumption rate of 17.41 gallons per hour, and a fuel economy of 9.72 miles per gallon. The engine provides enough power to lift the aircraft off the ground in a minimum of 971 feet of runway and requires 1,913 feet to clear a 50 obstacle at the end of the runway. It has a maximum altitude of 18,500 feet.
