The King Air 350i and 350iER are equipped with two PT6A-60A turboprop engines manufactured by Pratt & Whitney Canada. These engines generate 1,050 shaft horsepower.
The 350iER has a wingspan of 57 feet, 11 inches; a length of 46 feet, 8 inches; and a tail height of 14 feet, 4 inches. Its ramp weight is 16,600 lbs., and its maximum takeoff weight is 16,500 lbs. Maximum fuel capacity is 5,192 lbs.
The 350iER has a range of 2,560 nautical miles and a flight endurance time of more than 12 hours. These ratings are claimed by the manufacturer and apply to aircraft without mission sensor systems installed. The maximum cruising speed of the King Air is 313 knots, and its maximum operating altitude is 35,000 feet. It requires a takeoff length of 3,300 feet at maximum takeoff weight and a landing length of 2,692 feet at maximum landing weight.
The 350iER can be equipped with a variety of radar and imaging systems to convert it into a platform for military surveillance operations. Available radar systems include overland radar, maritime radar and synthetic aperture radar. Available cameras and recorders include electro-optic and infrared imaging systems. Communications options include VHF, V/UHF and HF radio systems, as well as a satellite phone system. A retractable camera lift, a drop hole and observation windows are further modifications that can be made to turn the 350iER into a special operations aircraft.
