The Mitsubishi Marquise Specs

The Mitsubishi Marquise is a commercial aircraft suitable for civil and military flight. The Marquise falls under the MU-2 design of aircraft built by the Mitsubishi company in the late 1950s. There are two types of MU-2 planes: the standard fuselage models, and the stretched fuselage models. The Marquise utilizes a stretched fuselage.
  1. Performance Specifications

    • The Mitsubishi Marquise can reach a maximum cruising speed of 571 km/h and an economical cruising speed of 547 km/h at 15,000 feet. It can fly at heights up to a maximum of 29,750 feet and it can travel 2585 km if it has its maximum fuel and reserves on hand. The Marquise can climb at a rate of 13.4 meters per second or 2,630 feet per minute. It has a wing loading of 65 lb per foot squared and a power output of 0.13 horsepower per pound.

    Powerplant and Capacity Specifications

    • The Marquise was made with two Garrett TPE331-10-501Ms turboprop engines, each with a horsepower output of 715. Both of the engines drive propellers at a constant speed that have four blades. The Marquise can hold a flightcrew of one or two people, but unlike the short fuselage models that only had seating for about seven people in the main cabin, the Marquise--with its longer fuselage--can hold up to eleven people.

    Dimension and Weight Specifications

    • When the Marquise is empty, it weighs approximately 7,650 lbs. The maximum the plane can weigh on takeoff is 11,575 lb. It has a wingspan of 39.2 feet, a length of 39.5 feet, and a height of 12.11 feet. The wings take up an area of 178 square feet.
