2007 Kawasaki Ninja 250R Performance

Shojo Kawasaki started an industrial company in Japan in 1896 that was known for shipbuilding and electrical generating plants. Beginning in 1960, the company began manufacturing motorcycles.
  1. History

    • By 1988, Kawasaki introduced the Ninja -- a liquid-cooled, four-cylinder motorcycle. The Ninja series of sport bikes became popular, and gave Kawasaki a reputation for manufacturing some of the most powerful engines on two wheels.

    Sales

    • The 2007 Ninja 250R continues to be at the top of global motorcycle sales charts. This model is lightweight, easy to ride and gets excellent gas mileage. Known as an recommended starter bike, the Ninja 250R is considered to be less expensive to own and maintain than larger bikes -- or those built by other manufacturers.

    Reliability

    • The 2007 model looks good, handles well and is expected to run many miles with only basic oil changes, and possibly new set of tires. The Ninja 250 has had few modifications since 1988, so parts are not difficult to find.
