The 1995 was considered the best 600 motorcycle on the market when it first hit in 1989. Therefore, there were few changes to the bike over the years until it was retired. The Deltabox frame was made of heavy steel, giving the bike a dry weight, without a driver or passenger and not counting gas, of around 408 pounds. With a full fuel tank and oil, the bike weighed about 454 pounds. The 1995 FZR 600 had a telescopic fork front suspension and swingarm link suspension in the rear. It came with an electrical TCI ignition system, O-ring chain and tubeless tires. The wheel base was 30.0 inches, and it had a minimum ground clearance of 5.3 inches. The overall length of the bike was 82.5 inches, with an overall width of 27.6 inches and an overall height of 45.5 inches. Seat height was 31.3 inches. Dual disc brakes were featured on the front wheel and single disc brakes on the rear. An ABS (automatic brake system) was not offered for the 1995 model. The 1995 FZR 600 was often customized and can be found in many colors, including red, white with stripes, black, blue and gray.
The 1995 FZR 600 R came with a manual 6-speed transmission. It had a maximum power of 98 HP at 11,500 RPM and max torque of 65.70 at 9,500 RPM. The bike was powered by an inline, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, four-cylinder engine. This engine could go from zero to 60 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds.
