Cut vibration-damping material so that it will fit into places in your car's cabin that often cause road noise, such as in the doors or around the speaker components.
Invest in low-noise tires for your automobile. A tire store or your dealer can direct you to these types of tires.
Take your vehicle to an auto body shop to tune the body mounts and power train. These areas shake and contribute to road noise.
Inject polyurethane foam into cavities in your vehicle. You can also position it on the floorboards and roof to reduce the noise level.
Add weather stripping, padded hood liners, seam and door sealants and acoustic engine covers to reduce the vibrations in your vehicle.
