Call or visit the outlet nearest you and discuss your move with the agent. He will help you determine the size and type vehicle you need and will quote prices for the trip you plan to make. U-Haul also has brochures that describe itsr services and address common questions.
Advise the agent of your final decision and fill out the paperwork the rental agent gives you. This paperwork includes, but is not limited to, information regarding your destination, rental period, contact information and credit card or debit card authorization if you are paying with one of those, although you have the option of paying with cash. The contract also states who is allowed to drive the U-Haul vehicle. You will be asked to present your valid driver license to the agent.
Place the small document packet you receive in the glove compartment or other secure place and keep it with the rental vehicle at all times. It contains vital contract and contact information should you have any difficulties while driving to your new location.
Receive the keys to the rental vehicle and drive it off the lot.
