Slide the carrier onto the hitch of your moving truck. If you are using a handwheel-type coupler tighten by turning completely around. If it's a lever-type coupler, make sure the locking pin is completely fastened.
Insert the plug that's equipped with the car carrier into the truck's electrical box.
Criss cross safety chains or cables that extend from the car to carrier. Do not secure too tightly. You'll need some slack so the chain can swing back and forth.
Check to make sure the emergency brake on your vehicle is off.
