Organize boxes. Before loading the truck take all boxes outside or put in a room and organize by size, shape and weight. This will keep all of the boxes in one area when loading the truck and easier to grab by type of box. When putting boxes in the truck stack according to size and put heavier boxes in first. To avoid bottom boxes from getting crushed and stacks from falling over, do not stack heavy boxes too high. To help unpacking the truck go more smoothly, organize boxes by room, so when taking them off the truck you can go straight to that room.
Put heavy furniture in first. Start loading the boxes after all of the large, bulky and heavier furniture is secured in the truck. The smaller, lighter boxes can be placed on top of the furniture and into some nooks that have been created. After filling in spaces around your furniture, create a wall of boxes in front of the furniture.
Load truck in sections. Load boxes in the truck in sections of about one quarter of the truck at a time. Secure each section with a rope using the rings on the inside walls and ceiling of the truck. This will help prevent boxes from falling over when the truck is in transit.
Fill in with lighter furniture. Once all of the boxes have been loaded and secured, fill in the back of the truck with any remaining items that are not boxed and light furniture.
