Take the M60, the roadway that serves every major city in Manchester County and circles most of the City of Manchester. According to Manchester United's official site, this is the best way to get to Old Trafford from any direction. Three different junctions (exits) serve Old Trafford.

Junction 7 is recommended for those who are traveling north on M60. Take Junction 7 and take the A56 toward Manchester. Look for the Manchester United signs, turn left at Sir Matt Busby Way and park to the right, in front of Old Trafford.

Junction 9 is recommended for drivers traveling south on M60. Take Junction 9 and join Parkway (A5081) toward Trafford Park. At the first island take the third exit onto Village Way and stay on the road until the next island, which has traffic lights. Take the second exit onto Wharfside Way. Turn right at Sir Matt Busby Way. Parking is on the left.

Junction 12 is an alternative route for those traveling south on M60. Take Junction 12 from the M60 to go to M602 (Salford/Manchester). At the end of the M602, follow the signs to Salford Quays and Trafford Park. At the roundabout turn right into Trafford Road (A5063). Cross the Manchester Ship Canal, staying in the righthand lane so you can turn right at the next traffic light around to Trafford Wharf Road. Turn left at the next traffic light onto Waters Reach (the Golden Tulip Hotel will be on your left). Continue through the lights onto Sir Matt Busby Way.

If you want to avoid driving, take the Metrolink from London. From the City Centre, leave from either Victoria or Piccadilly. The train will take you to Old Trafford station, about a five-minute walk from the grounds. North Western Trains, a part of the National Rail System, also runs from the City Centre Station to Old Trafford.
