Bass River State Forest was the first State Forest in New Jersey and offers a serene lakeside and forest setting. It has nine wheelchair accessible lean-tos with stoves and wooden floors which accommodate six people each. The office, beach, bath houses, picnic and play areas are also accessible.

Stokes is famous for Sunrise Mountain, which has incredible views and a distinctive local ecology. It has wheelchair accessible toilets and lookout point, and can be reached via a short drive from the campground. The camp itself has three wheelchair accessible family cabins, one group cabin, beach access and a mile-long wheelchair accessible hiking trail.

Belleplain campground, beside lake Nummy, offers 14 wheelchair accessible lean-tos, accomodating six people each, and yurts accomodating 4 people. It also has accessible beaches and bathhouses and a mile-long trail for wheelchair users.

In amongst rolling hills and situated beside a large reservoir, the Spruce Run Recreation Area has three wheelchair accessible shelters, campgrounds and restrooms as well as wheel chair access to the beach.
