Cabins in Whitefish Point, Michigan

Whitefish Point, Michigan is a scenic road dotted with cabin rentals in the incorporated area of Paradise, Michigan near Whitefish Bay. Paradise is located on Lake Superior. Several trail systems run through this area, making it a popular destination for hikers, mountain bikers and horse riding. Sailing is also popular, along with boating, jet skiing and picnicking along the sandy shore.

    • This cabin resort is open year-round on the Upper Peninsula area of Lake Superior. The cabins maintain a secluded feel, surrounded by birch forests, but are still close to downtown Paradise. There is a three night minimum to rent these cabins and pets are not accepted. The resort rests at a lower elevation of the lake, which means the water is warmer and the swimming season begins much earlier than other areas of Whitefish Bay. August brings blueberries to the region. Other activities include inner tubing on the lake or hanging out on the sandy beach that surrounds the cabins.

    Cloud Nine Cottages on Whitefish Bay

    • This resort is also open year-round and is located on a sandy beach. The cottages are updated, with modern plumbing and fixtures, while maintaining a rustic feel. The cabins come complete with full kitchens with cooking utensils, showers and outdoor picnic areas with barbecues. Due to the remoteness of the area there is no TV reception, but the main office stocks DVDs for rental. Popular activities at this resort include sunbathing on the beach, swimming and wading in the more shallow lake areas. Winter at this resort includes many trails for snowmobiling. From March to May, the nearby Whitefish Point Observatory has information about the great bird migration to Canada.

    Curley's Paradise Cottages

    • Curley's Paradise Cottages are located on the same property as Curley's Paradise Motel, also on the Upper Peninsula of Whitefish Bay. These cottages are painted white and gray and maintain a quaint coziness by welcoming visitors with daily pots of coffee or tea. These cottages also come with linens and stocked kitchens. Attractions close to these cottages include the Shipwreck Museum, the Whitefish Point Bird Observatory, the Centennial Cranberry Farm and the Crisp Point Lighthouse.

    Lakeview Cabins Resort on Whitefish Bay

    • This resort is located one hour from the Mackinac Bridge on Lake Superior's Upper Peninsula. This resort offers two and three-bedroom cabins and is situated at the beginning of an ATV trail head. With shallow shore beaches, this resort is popular with families and swimmers. The property is near two public boat ramps. In the winter, snowmobile trails make this a popular vacation spot. This resort is close to Paradise, which includes small restaurants and a grocery store. The Lakeview Cabins are open May through October during blueberry season, with picking running the month of August.
