Not all Minnesota campgrounds with cabins are found in the woods. The Minneapolis Northwest KOA is roughly a 30-minute drive from Minneapolis, allowing you to explore the city from a semi-rural setting. This RV park offers one-room basic "kabins"--bring your own bedding. Tent and RV campers are also welcome. The longest RV sites are over 70 feet and you may pick 50 amp service or add telephone service for a fee. Amenities here include a store and snack bar that also sells propane, a central meeting pavilion, and free wireless Internet. During the summer season, there's a pool, and you can also take part in planned activities and mini golf. Kids might enjoy the recreation room, horseshoes pit, sports courts and playground. The campground is set on 20 wooded acres and describes itself as suburban.
