Wanderlust World Wanderlust World The Nashville KOA is a site for all types of campers, from those with RVs to those who simply want to pitch a tent. One- and two-room cabins are available for rental, or guests can stay in the KOA lodge. The campground is very pet-friendly and even has an on-site pet playground. At night, guests can build a campfire under the stars with wood purchased from the KOA store. Campers can play mini-golf, go swimming or rent a bicycle and explore the trails during the day. KOA usually has planned activities once or twice a month that are focused on the holidays. Halloween brings a spookhouse and carnival, Santa Claus stops by during Christmas in July and Father's Day is Tacky Tie Day.

Anderson Road is a federally-owned campsite five miles outside of Nashville. It is the nature enthusiast's place to stay, as the area is filled with whitetail deer, birds and other forest creatures. Two tents are allowed per campsite, or one RV and one tent, to give everyone ample space. Anderson Road is a quieter, more primitive site, with no water, electricity or sewer hook-ups and strictly enforced quiet hours. The campsites are a short walk from the J. Percy Priest Lake, which has large grassy areas and white sand. Boaters and anglers can use the on-site launches to go out into the lake, while landlubbers can enjoy the playground and picnic areas.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park is a family-oriented campsite with 30 primitive tent sites, two rental cabins and over 200 RV spaces. The whole family is welcome here, including pets, and owners will find a pet walk handy to help animals get their necessary exercise. Jellystone Park has traditional camp amenities like a swimming pool, sporting courts and playgrounds, but what makes it stand out is its everyday special events. Over a dozen daily activities keep guests entertained, from visits by Boo Boo Bear to movie screenings in the on-site theater, family bingo and hayrides.
