Is it illegal to have a kinkajou in Oregon?

It is legal to own a kinkajou in Oregon if you have the proper permits. According to the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW), you must obtain a Wildlife Possession License and a CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) permit in order to possess a kinkajou. The ODFW also requires you to have a USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) permit if you are planning to import a kinkajou from another state or country.
