Can we do campfires in Calgary?

Campfires are permitted in Calgary between April 1 and October 31, provided that:

* The campfire is contained in a portable, metal fire pit.

* The fire pit is placed on a clear, non-flammable surface, at least 3 metres away from any trees, shrubs, or structures.

* The campfire is only fed with dry, untreated wood.

* The campfire is attended at all times.

* The campfire is completely extinguished before leaving the area.

Campfires that violate these regulations could result in fines or other penalties.

Before starting a campfire, it's best to check with the local fire department to ensure that they are allowed in your area and familiarize yourself with any additional regulations that may be in place.
