Timberlake Campground is located in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains in Whittier, North Carolina. The campground features two stocked lakes, a wading creek, boats for kids and a swimming area. Amenities include a dump station, sites with electricity, laundry facilities, restrooms with showers and barbecue grills at the sites. The campground is close to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, golfing, Fontana Dam and Ruby Mines. The Timberlake Campground is open May 1 to November 1 and offers both daily and weekly rates.

The Orchard Lake Campground is a 50-acre campground located in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Saluda. It is located near the Carl Sandburg estate, Flat Rock playhouse and several golf courses. The campground features RV sites with full hookups and both back-in and pull-through sites. Amenities include wireless Internet, private stocked fishing lakes, a recreation room, a camp store, larger kitchen facilities, hiking trails, restrooms with showers and Sunday chapel services. Daily, weekly and seasonal rates are available during the April through October season.

The Cascade Lake Recreation Area, located in the Pisgah Forest, is a lakefront RV resort with many amenities. The campground features canoe rental, paddle boat rental, lake fishing, a swimming beach and boat launch area. Additionally, the property has on-site laundry facilities, 24-hour security and children's activities. Cascade Lake Recreation Area is located near the Cradle of Forestry Discovery Center, Sliding Rock Recreation Area and Looking Glass Falls. The campground opens for reservations April 1 and closes on September 30 each year. Sites are offered from one day up to two weeks and may include electricity or full hookups.

The Almond Boat and RV Park is located in Bryson City on Fontana Lake. It is a resort popular with swimmers, boaters and fishermen. The campground offers pontoon and fishing boat rentals, boat storage, a 24-hour boat dock and a bait shop. The park is open from April through October and features full hookups; daily and monthly rates are available.
