Check out Dixon's Campground, located just three miles north of York Beach, in nearby Cape Neddick. Dixon's is open from mid-May through mid-September and accommodates campers with tents or an RV. The 26-acre campground includes sites in four wooded and open areas, each served by restrooms and shower facilities. Dixon's has water and electric hook-ups and dumping stations, and there's a heated in-ground pool and a children's playground on the premises. You can find the basic necessities at the Dixon's store, such as ice, newspapers and coffee.
Park your RV at Camp Eaton, an RV-only campground located on 35 acres of land in York Harbor. Camp Eaton offers campers water, electric, sewer and even cable TV hook-ups. The property also has pay phones, a camp store, free hot showers and three restrooms. Camp Eaton also runs a recreation program with dances, bingo, movies and other entertainment. There are a playground for children, a recreation hall and a full-time social director at Camp Eaton during the summer. You can reserve an RV site short-term, or you can park at Camp Eaton for the season. Short-term sites include picnic tables and stone fireplaces.
Pull in to Libby's Oceanside Camp, which has been in York Harbor since 1923. Libby's is right on the ocean, and features oceanfront and ocean view sites for tents and RVs. All camping sites at Libby's have water, electricity and sewer hook-ups. Libby's also has restrooms and hot showers for its campers. Although Libby's doesn't plan recreational events, there's plenty to do on site and nearby, including swimming, sunbathing and day trips. Libby's is on Long Sands Beach.
