Jellystone Park Resort is less than one mile from Six Flags in nearby Pacific, Missouri, making it the closest place to camp. The resort is situated on 35 acres of wooded land. It offers kid-friendly activities such as train rides, a video arcade, miniature golf course, visits from Yogi Bear, a swimming pool and more. The campground has shady, level, full hookup sites with 50-amp electric service, a grill, picnic table and fire ring. If you have a larger RV, you can reserve one of the campground's full hookup pull-thru sites, which can accommodate big rigs. Other options include campsites with water and electric, air-conditioned rental tents or rustic wilderness campsites that have no hookups.
The St. Louis West/Historic Route 66 KOA is the closest place to go camping. It is about one mile from Six Flags in nearby Pacific. The campground is open all year and features a swimming pool, picnic pavilion, wireless Internet service and bike rentals. You can also rent the red caboose, a replica of a Route 66 hotel, which has a full bathroom with spa tub. Choose from full hookup RV sites with either 50-amp or 30-amp electric service. Whether you have a big rig or just a tent, Pin Oak Creek RV Park has campsites that can accommodate your needs. The campground is about 15 miles from Six Flags in Villa Ridge. It is open all year, with group campsites, rental cabins, RV sites and tent sites. Amenities include a laundry room with six washers and dryers, an on-site camp store with DVD rentals, and restrooms with hot showers. A fire ring and wireless Internet service is available at every campsite. Bring your satellite or extend your antenna to get local television channels. The park does not have cable television.
If you prefer a small campground, Covered Bridge RV Park and Storage, located roughly 19 miles from the park in Fenton, might be an ideal fit. The park is right next to Springdale Park and Pool, a public picnic area and swimming pool. Covered Bridge RV Park has 39 RV sites, each of which has water, sewer and 50-amp electric service. Amenities include an on-site storage lot for cars, boats or other large vehicles, as well as a propane filling station and coin-operated laundry facility.
