Campgrounds Near Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

According to the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge Boards of Tourism, more than 10 million people visit attractions found in both cities each year. Located in Sevier County, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee, are popular vacation spots. Area attractions include Dollywood, the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and the Ripley's Believe It or Not Aquarium. Nearby campgrounds offer easy access to attractions in both cities and beautiful east Tennessee scenery.

    • Clabough Campground, located in Pigeon Forge off U.S. 321, is open year-round. Campground amenities include three laundry rooms, two swimming pools, clean bathrooms with tile showers, a large game room, a grocery store and a restaurant open for breakfast and lunch. There are pull-through sites that will allow RVs to pull in and out without backing up and 310 full hookup sites that include connections for electricity (30 or 50 amp), cable television, water and sewage. Each site has a picnic table, and many have a concrete patio. The campground also offers free Wi-Fi. Visitors who are interested in visiting Dollywood or sightseeing in downtown Pigeon Forge can catch the Pigeon Forge trolley service from 8 a.m. to midnight in summer and fall at the campground entrance.

    • Pigeon Forge KOA Kampground is a few minutes from Dollywood and close to major Pigeon Forge attractions such as the Dinosaur Walk. Campground amenities include free Wi-Fi, a fitness center, a playground, free courtesy phones, a heated pool, a hot tub, hot showers, a laundry center, a mail center, a business center and an on-site store for restocking camping supplies and picking up snacks. The campground offers full hookup sites that include connections for electricity, cable, water and sewage, pull-through sites that allow easy access without backing up and deluxe sites that include easy access, full hookup, a fire ring and concrete patios with furniture. Campers also can choose tent sites and grassy, shaded or river sites. Due to the popularity of this campground, reservations are recommended, especially prior to holiday weekends. Standard cancellations require 48 hours of notice, but holiday reservations require a seven-day cancellation.
