Jupiter, Florida lies just north of West Palm Beach on Florida's southeastern coast. The area is close to the Atlantic Ocean and provides plenty of outdoor activities. Campgrounds are an attractive option for travelers looking for more of the rustic lodging experience. Reservations are typically required as the campgrounds are popular during the winter season.

  1. West Jupiter Camping Resort

    • This gated campground—which is located just 10 minutes from the beach—has many amenities. Each sites contains a concrete pad with a patio and picnic table. There are also limited RV pull-through sites with electrical hookups.

      The campground provides a heated swimming pool, wireless Internet service, hot showers and laundry service. Campers can fish in a nearby fishing pond or play basketball and shuffleboard onsite. Kids also have a playground at their disposal. A convenience store located on the property makes it easy to stock up on necessities. Pets are allowed with some restrictions. Rates vary depending on the season and reservations must be made by calling the campground directly. Deposits for the winter season are required.

    Jupiter RV Resort

    • This RV resort offers 116 cabins and RV camping sites. Built in 2009 and located just off I-90, this newer campground sits beside a natural preserve. The property is connected to the Ocean Lake Trail for those that enjoy hiking and nature watching.

      Campfires and pets are welcome at the campground. Amenities include: electrical hookups for RVs, showers, heated outdoor pool, hot tub, recreation house, and laundry and exercise facilities.

    Jonathan Dickinson State Park

    • Located just 10 miles north of Jupiter, Jonathan Dickinson State Park provides two full-service campgrounds for tents and RVs in the middle of a giant nature preserve. Cabins are available, but are limited and fill quickly. Reservations must be made in advance for the cabins. The park provides fishing, boating and nature centers. Kayaking in the swamps and bicycling on the paved trails around the park are popular activities.

      Campers are required to have at least one tent to stay in the campground. Reservations can be made by calling the ReserveAmerica call center at (800) 326-3521.
