Sagle, Idaho is a small community situated on the Lake Pend Oreille and on the edge of the Coeur D'Alene National Forest. A bridge runs across the lake from Sagle to Sandpoint, Idaho, the home of Schweitzer Ski Resort. There are several hotels in Sagle, making it a prime spot to access these areas.
The Lodge at Sandpoint's features include Internet, a fitness room, hot tubs, a breathtaking view, many books and an in-room massage. Water activities are also readily available since the lodge is situated on the lake. There are many different room types available. The Standard Studio has a king bed, coffeemaker, small refrigerator, iron and hairdryer. The Deluxe Studio has a king bed, fireplace and private balcony overlooking the water. The One Bedroom Suite has a lake view, a king bed, a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, a private balcony and a fireplace. There are two cabins with one queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa, a bathroom and a wet bar kitchen. Another cabin has two stories, with three bedrooms, a full kitchen and one bathroom. There is cable television, but no Internet in these rooms. There is also the Rancho Run-a-Mucha Vacation Property, a 4,100-square-foot estate on the lake. The Lodge at Sandpoint contains a restaurant and is adjacent to several others.
The Country Inn is a motel and RV park that rents rooms by the day, week or month. It is located one mile south of the Long Bridge to Sandpoint. The King Suite offers a king-size bed, a bathroom, a television, microwave, mini-fridge, couch and air conditioning. The Double Queen room offers two queen-size beds, a bathroom, television, mini-fridge and microwave; the Single Queen room offers the same, but just one bed. It is about a 30-minute drive to Schweitzer Mountain Resort.
At Sleep's Cabin, you pay by the cabin, not the person. Cabins sleep between two and 10 people. The grounds are located on the lake shore, and have two docks, a beach and two fire pits by the shore. Stay includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sleep's Cabin is a getaway, advertising as a place to quilt, knit and scrapbook. It is located just a couple hundred feet from the Long Bridge to Sandpoint and two miles from Springy Point, a boat launch. Just before the bridge there are a few restaurants: Forty One South Restaurant, Long Bridge Grill and The Smoke House.
There are many places to stay across the river in Sandpoint, Idaho. The Inn at Sand Creek is an inn with four suites separated into two buildings. The inn describes itself as a "fine European-style boutique hotel." One building is a renovated bank with three designer suites, with a sitting room, bathroom and bedroom. Each room is different; one has a fireplace, another a small kitchen. The inn is located right by the water, attached to The Bistro Inn at Sand Creek restaurant. Occupants get a 10 percent discount at the restaurant. There is also a spa attached for guests to go and relax. The fourth suite is the penthouse. It is across the street in a renovated court building, directly above Ivano's Ristorante & Cafe. Sandpoint offers may shops and restaurants to explore that are within walking distance, including the Hydra Steakhouse, Spud's Rotisserie & Grill, Coldwater Creek, Zero Point, Outdoor Experience and Finan McDonald Clothing Company. Other activities include visiting the Panida Theater and MickDuff's Brewing.
