Cardwell is a small town located in Dunklin, Missouri. Even though it is a small town, it does have a lot to offer, especially for the nature enthusiasts. The Big Lake State Wildlife Park is just a few miles outside of Cardwell. This park is just over 4,000 acres, with 2870 acres open to the public. On the park's grounds, 450 plant species as well as deer, fox, bobcats, birds and armadillos can be found. The park has also has designated fishing areas. Admission is free.
Cardwell does not have any hotels within its town limits. If you want to stay in a hotel while in the Cardwell area, you can choose from one of the hotels in the nearby towns of Paragould and Kennett.

The Super 8 in Kennett is a few minutes drive from the Sheryl Crow Aquatic Center. This center is named in honor of the famed musician, because Kennett, Missouri is her hometown. While at the center, guests can attend swim meets or swim in the public pool. The aquatic center is open to all, free of charge.
