Chattanooga, Tennessee, offers a variety of outdoor activities, with plenty of paths and trails for walking, running, hiking and biking. The Tennessee River is an excellent spot for white-water rafting and fishing.

The cabins here feature a fully equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, Wi-Fi access, flat-screen TVs with cable service and laundry facilities. The three-bedroom cabin has three queen-size beds and four twin beds, and can accommodate up to 10 people. Towels, linens and toiletries are provided. Cabin furnishings include hardwood floors and natural wood trimmings. A dozen restaurants are within a few blocks of Lodge on the Ridge, and the Tennessee Aquarium, Lookout Mountain and Tennessee River are a few minutes away by car.

Raccoon Mountain Caverns & Campground has four vacation cabins. Two of the log cabins have full bathrooms, one has a half-bath and the fourth has no plumbing. All cabins are a short walk from the camp bathhouse, which has private showers and toilets. Amenities include cable TVs, kitchens with microwaves, refrigerators, ovens, stoves, air conditioning and electric heat. All four cabins have full-size beds, and three cabins have bunk beds. Outside, the cabins are furnished with barbecue grills, fire rings and picnic tables. Raccoon Mountain Caverns, Lookout Mountain and Raccoon Mountain are all nearby.

Holiday Trav-L-Park is in East Ridge, Tennessee, eight miles southeast of downtown Chattanooga. The campground offers rustic camping cabins and bedroom cottages. The rustic cabins can accommodate up to five people and feature a double bed and three bunk beds. These cabins have mini-refrigerators, air conditioning, electrical outlets and picnic tables outside. The loft cottages and bedroom cottages have a restroom, shower, small kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, stove, electric fireplace, air conditioning, cable TV and a screened-in porch with a picnic table. The cottages also have outdoor barbecue grills and campfire rings.
