The town of Rossford, Ohio is a suburb of Toledo. It sits about five miles south of the city, just across the Maumee River, which leads to Lake Erie. The small town of about 6,500 people was founded in 1898. Edward Ford spotted the open area and decided to build a plant that went on to become the Libby-Owens-Ford Glass Company. Most of the attractions and accommodations that serve Rossford are located in Toledo.

Inside the hotel, the 31 Hundred Restaurant and Bar serves food, as does room service. Guests looking for off-campus entertainment around Toledo should visit the Stranahan Theater or take in Toledo Mud Hens baseball game.
The American Inn hotel is located in Rossford, just a mile south of downtown. The two-story hotel is comprised of units that open to the outside. This hotel is very basic, but does offer free, high-speed Internet access and complimentary continental breakfast. No restaurant is available within the hotel itself. Guests can enjoy local eateries such as Jo-Jo's Pizzeria, Honey Diner and Stella's restaurant and bar. The American Inn is just minutes from the attractions of Toledo, including The Toledo Zoo and the Toledo Symphony Orchestra.
