Las Vegas resorts offer comps as a way to encourage loyalty from customers and entice them to return in the future and spend more money. While cash back may be the most popular one, comps come in many forms, such as free meals, accommodations, valet parking, airfare and even skipping ahead to the front of food lines. By following a few guidelines, you can get comps during your next stay at a Las Vegas resort.
Stay at the Las Vegas resort which has the casino where you'll be doing most of your playing. This will maximize the amount of comps you can build up.
Get into your resort's database by signing up for a free rewards card or "slot club card".
Build up points with your rewards card. The card is used by sliding them in machines or leaving them on a playing table so the pit supervisor can access it while you're playing.
While you're playing, enjoy comps in the form of free beverages, such as soft drinks, coffee and alcoholic drinks. You won't need to redeem points to receive these perks.
Maximize comps by staying as long as possible at gambling tables, for at least an hour, and getting in good favor with the host by being polite, dressing well and giving the impression that you are likely to come back to the resort in the future.
Ask for comps when you want to redeem your points for them. Visit the club booth to see what comps you are qualified to receive. If you are a frequent player, you can ask to see a host, who is able to allow players to receive comps beyond what they'd be able to receive with their points accumulation.
Watch for comps to come in the mail. With your name in the database, your Las Vegas resort will send you promotional and marketing materials with comps available such as free accommodations. Sometimes cash back comes in the mail with vouchers requiring you to return to the resort.
