How to Get From Tucson to Las Vegas

The distance between Tucson and Las Vegas is approximately 408 miles. If you are planning to drive you will arrive in a about seven hours. According to Family Vacations Getaways, "There's generally heavy traffic between Arizona's two largest cities, Tucson and Phoenix." Interstate 10 West is a popular through way for the state. Starting on the east coast, I-10 is known for its scenic western views. Traveling to Las Vegas you will pass by the Hoover Dam and cross the top of the dam coming out of Arizona at Exit 93.

      Start from your location in Tucson and drive to I-10 West, going toward Phoenix, Ariz. Drive approximately 125 miles and exit on 133B. You will merge on the AZ 101 loop going north. Travel for 9.7 miles.

      Take Exit 11 off the AZ 101 loop. The exit name is West Grand Avenue/US-60 W. Turn left on W Grand Avenue/US-60 and travel 38.7 miles. Enter the roundabout and exit on to 93 North. Roundabouts are a form of intersection traffic control. The roundabouts are circular and connect you to another road in the circle. Travel 107.2 miles on 93 North.

      Merge to I-40 West. Travel 22.3 miles until you reach exit 48. Drive towards "AZ-68 Las Vegas." Turn a slight right going towards Bullhead City, Ariz., and Laughlin, Nevada. Take US 93-North traveling into Nevada. Continue to drive 103.3 miles.

      Exit 75 going towards Las Vegas. Make a right turn onto North Las Vegas Boulevard. Turn onto Bonanza Road. Continue to your location in Las Vegas. Bonanza Road will place you in the heart of Las Vegas.
