Bus Stations in Texas

As the largest state in the continental United States, Texas can seem like a daunting state to travel in. However, the Lone Star State provides a wealth of public transportation options, ranging from buses and trains to privately-chartered vehicles.
  1. Fort Worth Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC) Station

    • Located in Fort Worth, the fifth-largest city in the Lone Star State, the Fort Worth Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC) Station is a multi-mode transportation facility that features bus service to areas throughout Texas. In addition to Amtrak services, the station is home to the Trinity Railway Express, a local transportation service run in conjunction with the Dallas Area Rapid Transit, or DART, and the Fort Worth Transportation Authority, popularly known as "The T." The station is, in fact, the "T's largest bus transfer center." The station also provides easy access to the city's local trolley service, and a historic trolley dating back to the 1920s is on display.

    Union Station

    • The Union Station in Dallas is home to numerous public transportation options including bus lines. A Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) station and bus depot, it also provides service to the Trinity Railway Express train line. DART provides both express and local bus service throughout the Dallas area. The station is also a local landmark, and reproductions of some of the city's famous historical murals adorn the station's walls.

    Greyhound Bus Terminal Dallas

    • Another prominent bus depot in Dallas is the Greyhound Bus Terminal Dallas, located on Lamar Street in downtown Dallas. The bus station dates back to the mid 20th century, when it was designed by a local architect.

    San Antonio Greyhound Station

    • The San Antonio Greyhound Station, located on North Saint Mary's Street, is the center bus depot for Greyhound bus service in the greater San Antonio area. This downtown bus terminal provides the majority of Greyhound bus services in the city, and also provides access to the connecting services of the Texas New Mexico and Oklahoma Coaches (now operating as Greyhound) and the Valley Transit Company, which services the Rio Grande Valley. Coach USA, which provides bus service throughout San Antonio, also operates out of the station. North Saint Mary's Street is also known for its commercial space, offering an assortment of bars and restaurants.

    Houston Greyhound Station

    • Houston's Greyhound Bus Terminal is located on Main Street right in the heart of the city, officially known as Midtown Houston. The station provides primary bus service to the greater Houston area, as well as bus service to the continental United States through Greyhound bus lines. Also operating through the bus station is the Valley Transit Company, servicing South Central Texas and into northern Mexico. The bus station is conveniently located just one block from the Downtown Transit Center, which is downtown Houston's METRORail station, which also serves as a nine-bay bus facility.
