Themed hotels--also known as fantasy hotels or suites--are a vacation unto themselves. Ohio has several themed hotels, from medieval times to the Civil War. These hotels are both great accommodations if you are planning a specific trip to Ohio and trips unto themselves.
Located in central Ohio, Landoll's Mohican Castle is billed as "a luxurious castle fit for kings and queens." Each suite is decorated with a different theme--for example, the Hess Suite is decorated with an Asian motif while the Ross Suite has a gold decor. All accommodations have hardwood floors, built-in kitchenettes, dining spaces and jacuzzi bathtubs. Stepping Stone is the on-site, family-friendly restaurant.
