Puerto Penasco is a vacation and resort area in the Sonora Desert of Mexico. Also known as Rocky Point, this beachfront city is positioned on the shores of the Sea of Cortez. Puerto Penasco is a tourist destination because of its lush gardens and beaches, and because it is close to the Arizona border.
