Poetry is Vegas' premier hip-hop-only club. The décor of this exclusive hip-hop club is upscale and opulent with chocolate hues, red roses, chandeliers with black Swarovski crystals and murals of beautiful women that adorn the walls with quotes verses from Robert Frost, Edgar Allen Poe, and Tupac written in calligraphy. There are also four bars scattered throughout the club, each appropriately named after a different poet. With occasional celebrity spottings of NFL athletes, Playmates and Vegas high rollers, Poetry has become the place to see and be seen. The VIP section, located by the dance floor doubles as a stage for live performances which in the past have included performances by E40, Snoop Dogg, Grandmaster Flash and Carmen Electra. DJs rotate on a nightly basis but you can always expect straight hip-hop hits being spun all night long. Poetry is currently moving to a bigger venue and will be re-opening in October 2010.
