Summer Lake, Oregon is located across from Fremont National Forest in Lake County. The lake is over 20 miles long and 10 miles wide, making it one of the largest in Oregon.     • Willow Spring Guest Ranch is a working cattle ranch. Accommodations include duplex cabins, each with a private bath and fireplace. The wrap-around front porch looks to Fremont National Forest. There is an on-site hot tub that is powered through wood burning. The ranch and cabins run on self-generated electricity. Activities on the ranch include evening campfires and dinners over the fire, bird watching and horseback riding. Area attractions include the National Forest which offers 200 miles of hiking trails and several fishing streams within Lake County.

    Summer Lake Hot Springs

    • This "green resort" operates solely through self-sufficient living. The cabins at Summer Lake Hot Springs offer a full kitchenette and geo-thermally heated floors. The bath house, built in 1928, offers an indoor pool fed through natural, heated spring water; pool temperature fluctuates between 106 and 113 degrees Fahrenheit. The resort also offers several outdoor rock pools. There is an RV park and camping area at the resort. Workshops are offered to guests and residents and include yoga, writing, dance, photography and healing. Area dining includes the Pioneer Saloon & Family Restaurant, located 10 minutes away.

    Lodge at Summer Lake

    • Built in 1940, the Lodge at Summer Lake offers seven motel units and three lakeside cabins. Breakfast and guided tours within the property are included with the stay. The area includes ancient petroglyphs, Hole-in-the-Ground, Fork Rock and Fossil Lake. Campsites and RV hookups are also on property. Area attractions include fishing at Ana Reservoir, known for bass, and the glacier lakes of Gerhart Wilderness. Off-site dining includes Cowboy Dinner Tree, located 35 minutes away.

    Aspen Ridge Resort

    • Aspen Ridge Resort is located on the eastern side of Fremont National Forest. Accommodations include log cabins, which sleep up to six people, lodge rooms and suites. The on-site restaurant serves three meals a day and the Buffalo Saloon is open after hours for cocktails. On-site attractions include a working cattle ranch, horseback riding and lessons, hiking within the forest, tennis and swimming.
