Medium-size cabins have two large bedrooms or three average-size bedrooms. Pricing may be dependent on the number of people the cabin will sleep, however. It is not uncommon to find three bedrooms advertised as sleeping between 8 and 10 people. The number of bathrooms should be a consideration if something close to the full allocation of sleeping spaces will be used.
Small cabins suitable for a couple are hard to find on Big Bear Lake but are more common on the ski slopes. Lakefront cottages in the village of Big Bear Lake are smaller and less expensive than those with more privacy. With that said, there are a few cozy, romantic one-bedroom lake-shore cottages outside of the village.
