Five cottages with scenic views make up this establishment. Cottages are equipped with full kitchens, private decks and private baths. Migrating whales can be viewed from the cottages in the late spring and early summer. Pets are welcome at two of the cottages during specific times of the year. A $100 pet deposit is required; fees are $15 per day or $50 per week. Other pet restrictions apply.

Built in 1910 and conveniently located steps from the Ferry dock, restaurants and shopping, the Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast welcomes pets, and even supplies guests with special amenities including "pet sheets" for the bed and towels for drying Fido after a swim. The accommodations for pet-owners include period furniture, full baths, wireless Internet access, a full breakfast and afternoon snacks. Some rooms feature private balconies or skylights. There is a $15 fee per pet.

Some cabins are equipped with half baths, full baths and kitchenettes including microwaves and refrigerators. Pets are allowed in some cabins and in the seasonably available yurts. A pet fee of $20 is charged.
