The Beachside Colony Resort is Tybee Island's only beachfront condominium resort. This resort, fully staffed and managed by Beachside Rentals, has eight different buildings that house suites ranging from one to three bedrooms. All have a private balcony overlooking the Atlantic. The Beachside Colony Resort allows pets in select units, namely the newly built Tybee Beach Club units and the two-bedroom Vue units. Amenities include three swimming pools, an on-site restaurant and housekeeping service. Children can also enjoy a putt-putt course and a miniature climbing wall. There is $50 charge for each pet.

The charming Tybee Island Inn Bed and Breakfast is a short walk away from Tybee Island Beach and the Tybee Island Lighthouse. The inn, which has seven guest rooms, each with a private bath, permits two small dogs under 30 lbs. There are two dog-friendly rooms, both with queen-size beds--the Captain's Quarters, which opens to a private, fenced-in yard, and the Flamingo, which also has its own entrance. There is a fee of $10 per dog per night.

There are also several Tybee Island rental homes that permit pets. One such home is the "Surf Puppy Cottage," which allows up to two pets. This newly updated, one-bedroom, one-bath cottage is two blocks from the beach and three blocks from downtown Tybee. The home sleeps five. For those seeking a more lavish accommodation that permits pets, the "Million Dollar" beach house is sure to please. This three-story home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, and sleeps 17. The home is just a half a block from downtown Tybee's shopping and restaurants, and one and a half blocks from the beach and Tybee Island Pier. This luxurious, well-appointed home has an enormous kitchen and great room, as well as a private pool and outdoor shower. The charge per pet is $30 a night.
