Returning to your hotel room at night to find the bedding pulled back and the drapes closed is a luxury any business or vacation traveler can get used to. This is what the hotel industry calls "turn down service." You can request it when you check in and at some hotels, you can even request it online.
When you check into a hotel that offers turn down service, you can ask for it. The front desk manager will schedule the service at a particular time, so if there is an hour or two that you don't wish to be disturbed, let them know.
Hotels are developing apps so guests can do everything from check out to order room service without actually calling or visiting the front desk. Asking for turn down service is one of the amenities guests can request on the free app when they stay at Conrad Hotels & Resorts, which is owned by Hilton Worldwide.
